Research Directions:  
The research group integrates tumor molecular biology, RNA biology, and bioinformatics to discover and study novel therapeutic/diagnostic targets in cancer. We have established relevant RNA sequencing technologies, bioinformatics methods, and databases (exLR-seq, ASJA, EV-origin, exoRBase, RJunBase), and were the first to propose and discover the prevalence of tumor-specific transcripts (TSTs) in cancers (Nat Commun, 2016; Cell Rep, 2018; Hepatology, 2019; Cancer Res, 2020; Nucleic Acids Res, 2021). We have systematically characterized the RNA components of exosomes/extracellular vesicles and their applications in cancer (Cell Res, 2015; Nucleic Acids Res, 2018&2022; Clin Chem, 2019; Gut, 2020). Current research focuses on cancer biomarkers and nucleic acid drugs (small RNAs and mRNA). To date, we have published over 60 SCI papers with an H-index of 45 and over 10,000 citations, filed three invention patents, and secured funding from the National Key R&D Program of China, National Natural Science Foundation of China, Shanghai Science and Technology Innovation Program, as well as awards including the National "Ten Thousand Talents Program" (Young Elite Scientists), Shanghai Pujiang Program, and Rising-Star Program.
